Handshake-Emulation is an IBM 5250 terminal emulator for UNIX systems. Itenables UNIX systems to connect to midrange systems such as the AS/400and IBM System 34/36/38. Handshake-Emulation provides flexible, easy-to-use IBM 5250 terminal emulation for multiple UNIX users from a singletwinax connection, and includes additional features such as automaticlogon, IBM screen hardcopy, hot key between 5250 emulation and UNIXshell, and auxiliary printer support.Handshake-Emulation uses the Andrew InterLynx protocol converter toattach the serial ports of the UNIX system to the twinax connection ofthe IBM midrange system. For remote connectivity through synchronousSDLC, the Andrew DataLynx protocol converter can also be used.
